11.5 X 11.5 X 5 inches. Created from a section of the Cherry Hill Plantation Live Oak, the TreesSC 2016 Heritage Tree of the Year. The major portion of the tree was seriously damaged in the wake of Hurricane Gracie in 1959. The wood lay fallow for over 50 years until repair began on the tree in 2015 and the wood was harvested. This is the largest and last available bowl in this series.

Even by merely looking at these pieces one can feel the extraordinary forces of tension and compression wood pulling against each other in an ever-present battle for balance and stability, two qualities for which the Live Oak is noted for.

100% of the proceeds from the sale of this last bowl will be donated back to Friends of Chery Hill Oak.
